Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly favored material for jewelry due to its approachable price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass is prone to oxidation. Moisture from rain, sweat, and exposure to air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not being worn. If the luster appears diminished, a few simple methods can quickly restore your item's original radiance. Please note that while color can be revived, abrasions may affect the shine (the beautiful antique bronze matte finish of vintage pieces is also quite lovely!). ♦ Gently brush with a toothbrush dipped in a foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth, to restore shine. Ensure to dry thoroughly afterward. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed surfaces). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, immerse the brass item for approximately 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its luster (not suitable for natural stones sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
