This is YUGEN's original matcha bowl. We commissioned a ceramic artist from Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture to create each piece by hand from scratch. We make matcha every day at our shop, so we have tried many times to find not only ease of use, but also a simple yet sophisticated design that colors your daily life, materials and functionality that can be used for a long time, size and shape. I kept making mistakes. ・Size and shape that even those with small hands will have no trouble holding (approximately 12.5cm in diameter) ・The bottom is curved to make it easier to stand the matcha upright. ・Adjustment of the surface texture so that the chasen does not get damaged easily ・Height and curve that prevents it from bouncing even when brewing matcha ・Amount of glaze This is a masterpiece packed with a lot of attention to detail. Since they are all made by hand, each matcha bowl has a unique expression that is unique to the world, and each matcha bowl has a warm and relaxing feel to it. It can be used not only as a tool for brewing the matcha that is available at YUGEN stores, but also as a container for a wide variety of purposes. *As all items are made by hand, the size of each item may vary by millimeter, and the appearance of the vessel may vary slightly.
