When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making __regular crystal cleansing essential__. It's recommended to establish a routine for cleansing your crystals, perhaps on the first of each month or during the full moon (the 15th day of the lunar calendar). There are numerous ways to cleanse crystals, with detailed explanations readily available in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals can be delicate and susceptible to damage from salt or water. Therefore, Joyce personally does not highly recommend this method. If you have white or purple crystal chips, a geode, or a cluster, you can place your crystal directly within or on top of them when not wearing it. Naturally, the chips, geodes, or clusters used for cleansing also require periodic purification, such as through sun exposure or moonlight. Joyce finds **smudging with smoke** to be the most effective method! You can light sage, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense sticks, and **use the smoke for cleansing**.
