For instance, for pens, it's "where pens belong." This series showcases abstract house forms, utilizing finger joint construction. Some pieces aim to emulate the characteristic staggered stacking of bricks, while others highlight the beauty of varying heights with exposed joinery. The primary technique involves the application and variation of 3mm finger joints. Using a table saw and jigs, each interval is precisely cut with 3mm finger joints, one by one. A place to return to is "home," where one can "belong." Important items should be kept safely in their designated places, much like how sincere intentions from the heart should be treasured. This piece, "Where We Belong," is the author's way of reconnecting with the initial inspiration found in woodworking, through the repetitive, step-by-step crafting process. The sentiment embedded within the work is a blessing for whatever it holds in the future.
