You can use one or use them all. - backstitching, half cross stitches and French knots (besides full cross stitches) - 28 usual/basic DMC colors, 18 blended colors to make this delicate picture look like watercolor painting.  PLEASE NOTE: this pattern is made from the real watercolor artwork, so I had to make it difficult for some in order to save the original watercolor looking.
