The design stacks, with the upper half resembling butterfly wings and the lower half lotus petals, forming a butterfly. The primary aim is to capture the delicate, fluttering motion of a butterfly and the iridescent, rainbow-like shimmer of its scales. ꕤ ̊⊹+ The surface of a butterfly's wings is covered with countless scales, each measuring approximately 50 to 200 micrometers (1 micrometer = 0.001 mm). They are so tiny, they resemble powder. These scales detach easily and play a crucial role in escaping danger (like spiderwebs). They also provide waterproofing, camouflage, buoyancy, and thermoregulation to aid the butterfly's survival.
