As the fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which might look like "fraying" at first glance. These are unavoidable characteristics of using antique machinery. While we strive to minimize these by thorough inspection at the factory and careful fabric cutting, and by using them in less visible areas if found, they cannot be entirely eliminated due to the nature of the machinery.
