▲ Kashmir, situated near the Himalayas, developed the art of boiled wool as a delicate craft to combat the region's distinctive, frigid climate. Due to the high altitude, water boils at a lower temperature. In the morning, as the sun rises, wool products are immersed in melted plateau snow water, followed by heating and boiling. As evening approaches and the sun sets, the woolens are sun-dried under the moonlight. This intricate process not only removes impurities but also causes the wool to shrink, tightening the fibers. Finally, women meticulously hand-weave and embroider each piece, creating textiles of unique colors and embroidery styles.

▲ Recommended Cleaning Method
1 - Fill a basin with an appropriate amount of laundry detergent and mix thoroughly with lukewarm water. Lay the scarf flat in the basin and gently press down with both hands about twenty to thirty times. This allows the detergent solution to flow through the fiber gaps, preventing the fibers from tangling.
2 - Rinse using the same pressing technique until the scarf is clean.
3 - Gently squeeze out excess water. Lay the scarf flat on a towel or drying rack in a cool, shaded area to air dry naturally, as UV rays can cause wool to yellow.
