Due to the vegetable tannins within the leather interacting with air and sunlight, the surface color gradually deepens. Furthermore, the natural oils from your hands and the friction from daily use contribute to a polished patina, creating a unique transformation specific to the user and the passage of time. We believe these changes are a testament to the exclusive journey shared between the owner and the leather. Leather is a byproduct of the livestock industry. Therefore, farmers do not meticulously protect the animals' skin. As a result, cattle may bear marks from insect bites, scratches, or thorns during their lives. Free-roaming cattle might also have branding scars. During their growth, natural lines and wrinkles will form. In cases of difficult births, there may be surgical stitch marks. When the cattle reach maturity and are processed for meat, knife marks from skinning may also be present. These marks are faithfully preserved on the finished leather, serving as evidence of the animal's life journey. They often have their leather processed with sanding and surface coatings to achieve a clean appearance, but this diminishes the natural character. The resulting characters will have a burnt, black appearance. Therefore, this service cannot be applied to dark-colored leathers such as black, dark blue, etc. ▴ Some products require laser engraving before production. For in-stock items that are already made, laser engraving cannot be applied, and a separate production schedule will be arranged. Please contact customer service to inquire about production timelines when selecting this service. 🌞 Care and Maintenance -------------------- Frequent use is the best form of maintenance. It's advisable to avoid storing leather in humid environments. If the leather accidentally gets wet, wipe it immediately with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to harden and degrade. Once dry, you can apply leather conditioner to replenish its oils. Waterproofing spray can also be applied to protect the surface from accidental spills. For storage or long periods of non-use, place the leather item in an electronic dehumidifying cabinet, maintaining humidity between 50% and 60% to prevent mold. Alternatively, a sealed bag with a desiccant pack can achieve similar results. After one year, leather maintenance will still be provided free of charge, with a partial fee for repairs. 5. Our studio prefers natural leather materials. Cowhide naturally has variations in color, texture, and minor imperfections due to minimal processing and surface coatings. We do not guarantee a flawless surface. If you require a perfectly smooth and unblemished leather, this product may not be suitable, and we regret that we cannot accept requests for "flawless leather." Furthermore, once customization (such as engraving or hot stamping) has been applied, returns will not be accepted unless there was a production error.
