RD-C-23-Painter (L)
"Reimagining Classic 1920s Painter Pants"
This season, Retrodandy presents these painter pants (also known as artist pants), originally designed by Dickies in the 1920s for painters. With a sturdy and durable white work fabric as the initial concept, featuring multiple pockets for practicality, they were widely favored by blue-collar and working-class individuals. Later, colors like Hickory stripes were added, establishing them as a classic style of vintage workwear.
The beige pants are crafted from organic cotton with cotton husks, while the Hickory stripe fabric uses premium denim from Japan's renowned manufacturer, Kaihara. Consequently, after washing, they develop a natural fade reminiscent of raw denim, embodying the authentic character of classic workwear. Additionally, a new option features RD's self-developed grey herringbone fabric, woven with spun yarn to create a snowflake pattern, exuding a refined vintage charm.
