**Why did the Little Prince leave his rose? How did the fox's teachings help the Little Prince overcome crisis and understand the meaning of taming? Was the Little Prince's final choice to entrust his fate to the viper truly a wise one?**
These are questions many readers of "The Little Prince" ponder. In "The Little Prince's Enlightenment," Professor Chiu Po-chung delves into these profound inquiries with his philosophical wisdom and childlike innocence, guiding readers into the world of the Little Prince to discover a beautiful oasis of thought.
This new edition of "The Little Prince's Enlightenment" features a comprehensive revision of all essays and includes several new ones. The book is a recipient of the 28th "Best Ten Secondary School Reading List" award from the Professional Teachers' Union and also won the 10th "Hong Kong Book Award."
Cultural commentator and renowned writer Chen Guan-chung believes "The Little Prince's Enlightenment" can help readers "remember that adults were once unique children, allowing them to grow and mature without abandoning their true selves." Acclaimed playwright Chong Mui-wan feels Chiu Po-chung's writing "always possesses wisdom and sincerity, and this time, there is an added tenderness that soothes the wounds of our times." Professor Sham Chun-fai, President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, recommends: "Chiu Po-chung's book taught me to understand 'The Little Prince'."
The author sincerely conveys that "The Little Prince" is more than just a fairy tale for children. This brilliant allegorical novella harbors Saint-Exupéry's deep reflections on modern society and his profound concern for the human condition.
