Developed in collaboration with the parenting staff at Kono-Ri, an art hotel in Gujō Hachiman, through extensive thought and trial-and-error, we created this spoon with two bowl sizes: large and small. When feeding, use the smaller bowl for soft purees. Once your child can hold the spoon independently, they can choose their preferred size to eat with. The handle is made slightly thicker, designed for easy gripping by small, developing hands. The bowl's shape is also considered for more than just scooping, allowing for cutting and mashing. In the local dialect of many areas in Gifu Prefecture, including Gujō City where I live, "mame" means "energetic" or "healthy."
