**Rice x Sauce x Coffee,**
**A Curated Selection from Mountain Basin Small Farms**
__Friendly-farmed rice, artisanal sauces from small producers,__
__and Taiwanese coffee grown on the hillsides of Sun Moon Lake.__
■ In Lancheng Village, Puli Township, Nantou, a group of young farmers from the Guli Cooperative support each other, embodying the collaborative spirit of early agricultural communities as they cultivate rice.
■ Known as "Poison Mom," Ms. Du has been foraging and cooking with local ingredients since the age of eight. Green eating has been her passion and advocacy for over half her life.
■ On the mountainside from Puli to Sun Moon Lake, Yu-Chun Kao of Huayin Coffee Estate, recently recognized as one of the Top 100 Young Farmers, continues to use her background to promote social work through coffee.
As producers and chefs, they illustrate their collaboration with the land,
and we, merely satisfied eaters, are drawn to the food and the stories, carefully selecting this gift box that captures the essence of the region.

**Fang Ban Rice - We are supporting each other, just like other young lives.**
__It's when elders are willing to release their land that we gain the space and begin farming, creating opportunities for young people interested in agriculture.__
**Xia Hui and Jia Da are the cultivators of Fang Ban Rice**
They started learning everything about farming from scratch. From connecting with elder farmers to secure land, to coexisting with the creatures in the fields, and overcoming challenges like typhoons or rice blast disease—each seemingly simple story is built upon hard-earned experience. "It's only in the last year or two, stepping into the fields, that it felt like booting up a computer; you understand how the system works. Farm labor might seem strenuous, but it subtly becomes ingrained in your body as muscle memory," Xia Hui shares.

**Poison Mom - Preparing wholesome food for yourself is essential for nourishing body and mind.**
__It is the connection between people and this land that makes a restaurant so vibrant and exciting; it's these human-land bonds that make us truly unique.__
Poison Mom is the founder of the well-known vegetarian restaurants "Syzygium Tree," "Riverbank Vegetarian," and "Riverbank Slow Food." Today, in addition to managing her lifestyle brand, she also offers private cooking classes.
When she opened her restaurant, she developed the "Witch's Sauce" as an appetizer for a guest undergoing cancer treatment—it was both appetizing and healthy. Poison Mom's cooking is always deeply intertwined with human emotions. Using the most primitive, seasonal, and pesticide-free ingredients, infused with childhood memories, each bite brings you close to the origin of the food, its connection to the earth.

**Huayin - As long as it has a positive impact on society, I'll give it a try.**
__I studied social work, and I want to contribute to society in different ways.__
Whether it's the origin of the coffee estate's land or the fact that the name "Huayin" comes from her grandmothers' names, for Yu-Chun, the Huayin brand is a collection of family love.
Yu-Chun's life's work is social work, but driven by her love for her family, this child of Nantou returned home. In addition to cultivating coffee, she also dedicates time to teaching disadvantaged families and individuals with disabilities how to sort beans.
This year, Yu-Chun was recognized as one of the Top 100 Young Farmers! Regarding coffee, social work, and love, Yu-Chun is forging ahead on her own path.

**Organic Cultivated Red Turmeric, Ground for a Fragrance Friendly to the Earth**
__Direct consumption or use in cooking, a versatile nutritional supplement.__
Red turmeric has become a popular health choice in recent years. As a nutritional ingredient, it is naturally grown without any pesticides. Grown on an organic farm in Guoxing, the red turmeric is ground into powder and can be used in various dishes. Add it to rice, cook curry, stir-fry vegetables, or mix it with milk or desserts. It can also be added to dough to add color to steamed buns, noodles, and other flour-based dishes.

**Cultivated with the Land, Harmonizing with Nature**
__What grows from the soil, nurtured by the wind, fermented by time – this is the terroir gift box we cherish.__
We all call the earth our mother, and with her boundless embrace, she sustains our lives. Since ancient times, people have gathered and cultivated, exploring the secrets of cooperation with nature, yet we have increasingly and arrogantly taken from the earth.
Today, perhaps when we have a piece of land and a pair of hands to cook with, we can choose to cultivate with gratitude and tenderness, harmonize with nature, patiently nurture, wait with kindness, and follow nature's way.
