This figurine was created by making use of the gentle colors of washi paper while imagining such a soft spring scene. The cherry blossoms are modeled after the Somei Yoshino cherry tree, which is the most familiar to us, and are made of washi paper to give them a pale and ephemeral appearance, but with a sense of presence. Compact and easy to decorate, it will add a gentle and warm color to the atmosphere of your room or living room as you welcome your new life in spring. While reproducing the beauty, cuteness, and uniqueness of the real thing as faithfully as possible, we take advantage of the gentle colors and textures unique to washi paper to create works that are better than the real thing. In this work, both the bird and the cherry blossoms are colored and produced using the colors of the washi paper itself. For the Shimaenaga, two types of white washi paper are pasted together to create the softness of the feathers, and details such as the yellow eyeshadow above the eyes are also colored using washi paper.
