RO-BIKI NOTE Texture Series Hanezu

The cover of the "RO-BIKI NOTE" is made from waxed paper. With use, it develops a vintage character through subtle fading and marks. The interior pages are crafted from Soliste paper, suitable for not only pencils and ballpoint pens but also fountain pens and dip pens. The thread-bound construction ensures durability, allowing the notebook to be folded back 360° and used for extended periods without pages detaching. The "RO-BIKI NOTE Texture Series" is a new collection that explores new expressions by enhancing the inherent texture of the paper through waxing. Embossed patterns created by engraved press rolls and nuanced colors derived from carefully controlled pigments gain a deeper character after the waxing process. The interplay of transparency, influenced by varying wax saturation levels, adds another layer of visual appeal. Hanezu-iro (朱華色) Mentioned in the "Nihon Shoki" and "Manyoshu," Hanezu-iro was historically reserved for nobility. Due to its tendency to fade, it was poetically associated with fleeting emotions in the "Manyoshu."
