Tahitian pearls are named after their origin, Tahiti, the largest island in the Windward group of French Polynesia. Located in the South Pacific, it enjoys a perpetually spring-like climate and abundant resources, often referred to as "the place closest to paradise." The mother-of-pearl for Tahitian pearls comes from the rare black-lipped oyster, which secretes black nacre. This species has extremely stringent water quality requirements, and the formation process is lengthy. For every 100 oysters seeded, only 50 successfully cultivate pearls, and of those, only five are flawless. Consequently, each Tahitian black pearl is exceptionally precious.
Small indentations, known as dimples, may be present on the pearl's surface. These occur naturally as the pearl grows within the oyster shell.
As with all natural pearls, slight surface textures or pores are normal due to their natural growth characteristics.
Our carefully selected pearls feature minimal imperfections, excellent surface luster, and brilliant radiance. Each pearl is chosen for its consistent size and perfectly rounded form.
■ Pearls are natural organic gemstones. We select high-quality pearls with great care during production. While we avoid pearls with significant blemishes on the visible surface, slight natural lines or surface characteristics may be present and are not considered flaws. Perfectionists, please consider carefully before purchasing.
■ Custom orders are non-refundable.
■ All items are photographed in natural light. Due to variations in photography equipment, lighting conditions, or screen displays, slight color differences may occur. The actual product is the final reference.
