This is an SDG-conscious piece of kintsugi jewelry, upcycled from pottery by Fukukikama, a kiln based in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, known for its Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics.
Broken or chipped pottery, no longer in use, is given new life through kintsugi and fashioned into accessories.
The concept behind these creations is to foster a connection with nature and Japan's enduring traditions, reimagining them into modern accessories that bridge the past and future, opening up new possibilities.
Elegant grey pottery fragments are adorned with freshwater pearls.
As you move, the freshwater pearls sway, adding a touch of radiance to your ears.
Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragments, allowing the gold to beautifully catch the light even from the side, lending an air of refinement.
These pieces are perfect as a sophisticated accent for both casual and elegant outfits.
Length: Pottery fragment: 10 x 12mm Total length: 25mm
Hardware: Surgical stainless steel ear posts (hardware cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being pottery, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, making it an ideal gift.
Consider them as a special present for your loved ones.
*As these are finished, one-of-a-kind items, we are unable to accommodate hardware changes or reorders.

*"Kintsugi" is a unique Japanese traditional repair method that mends broken or chipped pottery using lacquer and gold powder. This work utilizes a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional kintsugi using the sap of the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for the initial bonding.
The kintsugi portion uses lacquer (a manufacturer-created paint, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), combined with UV resin for reinforcement.
