Vegetable-tanned leather will deepen in color with use, developing a rich caramel hue over time. • Like human skin, natural leather has pores. It will absorb moisture, and a faint water mark may appear after air-drying, which is normal. The piece is treated with maintenance oil upon completion to minimize absorption from moisture or stains. • Avoid prolonged immersion in water. If accidentally wet, allow it to air dry in a ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. • Light scuffs can be gently wiped with a clean cotton cloth. Deep oil stains are difficult to remove and will gradually become less noticeable over time.
