This is a tasteful teapot with a simple design, made using Shigaraki clay containing Stone.
This piece was created using the experience gained from learning Ogawa-ryu Sencha tea, and would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys tea.
This teapot is carefully made on a potter's wheel using coarse clay containing feldspar. It is fired at high temperatures, causing the Stone in the clay to melt and come to the surface. There are small dents in the lid and body, but these are caused by the Stone in the clay melting during firing. The inside is glazed, and fine holes for straining tea are carefully drilled. The lids are fitted individually, so they fit well and allow water to drain easily.
You can also enjoy watching the depth of the color increase as you use it.
Perfect as a teapot for 2-3 people.
