|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"People nurture jade for three years, and jade nurtures people for a lifetime."
Crystals possess a strong energy field but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, has a gentle and soft nature. While its energy field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, exerting only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate — NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements like calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Generally contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Essentially similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of human life activities, fulfilling important physiological functions throughout all stages of growth and development, from childhood to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable macromineral essential for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is crucial for maintaining normal physiological functions in the body. It can prevent cardiovascular diseases and aid in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it independently and must absorb it through natural foods or supplements. It can enhance insulin sensitivity in individuals with type 2 diabetes, help obese individuals control cholesterol and blood sugar, and is lost at a faster rate in individuals under high stress. Therefore, these three groups particularly need it.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. The human body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, with unabsorbed nickel being excreted mainly through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation in the body and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular disease mortality. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of developing atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it an essential trace element for the human body. The adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function properly.
Medical research has revealed the powerful therapeutic capabilities of jadeite. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating chest tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Continuous massage can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite also possesses the functions of "clearing middle-heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five organs, calming the spirit, unblocking blood vessels, and brightening the ears and eyes."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the skin: Jadeite ornaments, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite thus enter the body, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling down: The icy coolness of jadeite is therapeutic and soothing, offering relief from the heat. In the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to cool down during summers, ushering in a refreshingly cool season. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants all served to combat the heat.
The above are scientifically-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another less substantiated reason is that when feeling down or stressed, looking at jadeite can provide an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if finding solace.
