What is the wood-firing process?** We blend clays from the USA, Japan, and Miaoli in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-building (not on a potter's wheel) to slowly form the pieces. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, and then sanded to complete the greenware. Once in the kiln, the pieces undergo a five-day, four-night continuous wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks. After five days and four nights of ash and fire pattern interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should customers be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is handcrafted, it will bear the natural marks of the making process. Minor variations in shape, slight imperfections on the rim, or small production scratches may occur due to the firing process, but these are normal and do not affect usability.
