The goldfish are hand-painted in several rounds with different shades, building up a vivid gradient of color. The fins are painted in translucent thin layers, and the fine lines on the tail are drawn one by one with an extra-fine brush. Each hydrangea petal is also stretched thin, shaped, and colored by hand, so every petal has its own form.
