Lacquer Craftsmanship - Floating Lacquer Technique Many are familiar with this technique, applying floating lacquer onto a base. However, it's challenging to achieve on small items, and even if successful, the patterns are lost due to the large surface area. We've integrated modern technology to preserve these delicate textures on the core material. Through multiple layers and applications, we've achieved a lacquer finish that is not as thin as in the past, thus matching the hardness, luster, and thickness of traditional rhinoceros horn lacquer. Each cat is the result of repeated lacquering and drying, a testament to time and patience. The unique patterns on every piece tell their own story.
