This is a normal oxidation process. ・ If your brass jewelry oxidizes and turns black, here are a few methods to restore its shine: - Gently rub with a silver polishing cloth to restore luster. The cloth turning black is normal; do not wash it, as this will reduce its effectiveness. - Lightly brush with a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of dish soap or toothpaste, then dry. - Wipe with a clean cloth dipped in a small amount of brass polish to restore its shine.
