ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) As known, most of FED RF cameras was copies of famous Leica camera. The camera made by FED plant (Zavod im. F.E. Dzerzhinsky) at Ukraine (former USSR). ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT++++++ Presented camera's body is in fine condition, clean and attractive. I didn't recognized any holes and cracks at curtains of the shutter. The covering is complete. Examine item's photos, please. The lens is clean, no fungus, no scratches or separations, but some cleaning marks at front optical element can be found. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Shutter speeds are from 1 to 1/500th of second and "B". Shutter work looks fine. Synchronization with a flash at 1/30 sec (tested) and at more slow speeds. * Lens: Camera equipped with coated lens "Industar-61L/D" (signed "I-61", finished in black), it is a very sharp Soviet lens and it is a copy of famous Zeiss Tessar. Focal Length = 53mm, aperture from 2.8 to 16 (with clicks). NOTE: Soviet lens manufacturers wrote even about NEW lenses: "The components of modern high quality lenses are produced from special grades of glass. The smelting process involved causes inevitable formation of gasses which get trapped in the glass to form bubbles. They are always noticed with complex photographic lenses. The bubbles do not affect the lens performance or the quality of the image. Soviet state standards also allows the presence of next minor defects: scratches with the width less than 0.02mm at each surface of each optical element with total length no more than double element's diameter; dots with diameter less than 0.3mm no more than 5 dots; several minor pieces of dust and no more 2 napkin fibers with the length no more 3mm. Therefore, the factory does not accept claims about bubbles and minor defects of clearance found in lenses or exchange such lenses." * The lens finished in panda style. * FED-3 accepts the whole range of Leica thread mount (M39) LTM lenses. * Rangefinder is looks correct, focusing is nice. * You can adjust the sharpness of viewfinder by special ring around eyepiece. * Self-timer works good. * The head of shutter cocking knob has a special scale which help to remember sensitivity of loaded film. * Accessory shoe allow to mount viewfinder or flash. * Tripod mount: 1/4". * The camera is a very nice in using and highly collectible. * The camera was made in 1970th years.
