It acts as a cleansing agent for your personal energy field. About Hinoki Wood: When holding Taiwanese Hinoki wood, a subtle, calming fragrance can be detected. As Hinoki often grows on rocky cliffs or along clear riverbanks, its scent evokes the feeling of being in the Hinoki forests of Alishan. It not only relaxes the mind but also alleviates feelings of tension. Its pure energy possesses properties that ward off evil and cleanse impurities, soothing nervous emotions and anxious states. It can be used for meditation, contemplation, enhancing spiritual energy, calming the mind, and promoting sleep. Globally, among precious aromatic woods, Hinoki ranks between second and third place, with Agarwood at number one. Indian Sandalwood and Taiwanese Hinoki are considered nearly equal. As of 2012, the scientific definition recognized four species within the Cupressaceae family: 'American Hinoki' found in western North America, the endemic 'Taiwanese Hinoki', 'Chinese Arborvitae' in southwestern China, and 'Vietnamese Arborvitae' in Vietnam.
