The King, named Jiding, was born with a malformed left foot. Despite this, he deeply desired to bring the joy of a ball to everyone. He commanded his attendants to spread the word, keeping the secret of his condition well hidden. This remained so until one day, a gecko minister discovered it. Following private discussions among the court, it was decided to host a ball for King Jiding—Everyone's Ball—where he would become the radiant center of attention.
