A work by acclaimed Danish director Lars von Trier, this film can be described as quite fantastical, with a truly captivating soundtrack. The cinematography is stunning; any still frame could be a painting. I also deeply appreciate the story. While the original title is "Melancholia," this adaptation doesn't feel melancholic. The Taiwanese title, "Thorny Apocalypse," already signals an apocalyptic theme. The film depicts a person with depression who, facing the impending end of the world, remains calmer than everyone else. Day by day, they confront the approaching planet alongside their family... The movie poster pays homage to the famous painting, Ophelia, by John Everett Millais. I, in turn, created a new illustration inspired by the movie poster. A tribute to a tribute to a tribute?
