Excavated Artifact. Buried Ancient Bead.
Classified under the Siam Bead lineage (found in regions such as Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.).
These beads, with their distinctive patterns and motifs, are not found among Tibetan Dzi beads.
However, they are commonly seen among ancient beads from Central and West Asia.
Furthermore, some of these Central and West Asian ancient beads predate Tibetan Dzi beads by over 2,000 years.
On page 209, item 156 of the Chinese book "Interpretation of Ancient Beads," you can find a photograph of a multi-eyed ancient bead with a similar cellular (honeycomb) pattern.
This 15-eye ancient bead exhibits:
- Black ion decolorization, resembling a lapis lazuli-like effect.
- Blackening of white etched lines.
- Phenomena consistent with burial, such as crackled patina, ice cracks, agate iridescence, and internal weathering.
********************
Etched ancient beads originally held significant protective and religious meaning.
During challenging times, wearing an old protective bead can help regulate one's energy field and enhance fortune.
By reciting scriptures, chanting mantras, practicing generosity, and releasing captive animals, one can naturally avert misfortune and attract good luck.
