We have encased the beautiful Turbo shell within a white peacock frame, as if gently holding a precious egg. The beauty of Turbo marmoratus lies in its iridescent sheen and striking striped patterns. While each piece has its own unique character, you can fully enjoy the distinctiveness of any Turbo shell. The iridescent sheen is similar to the inner surface of abalone shells, known as nacre. The thickness of the shell allows for a sense of depth in its luster. Although we've requested that it not be exposed this time, we understand that depending on the part cut from the shell and the finishing method, a mysterious blue-green, akin to malachite, can emerge. This particular Turbo shell showcases delicate striped patterns and a relatively strong iridescent sheen. The reverse side features a mysterious blue-green reminiscent of malachite, with hints of iridescence appearing in certain lights. The contrast between white and blue-green might even evoke the breathtaking landscape of Lençóis Maranhenses, Brazil's white desert... While you cannot remove the shell from its setting at home, we've also provided photos of the shell before it was secured in the frame, so you can find the unique features you love in each piece's color and pattern. There is a linear indentation, approximately 2mm in length, on the side. This can occur naturally as the shell grows in the sea. Beautiful objects are born from materials that might have been thrown away. Furthermore, they process these shells without using any chemicals that could potentially damage the material. Turbo shells have been cherished since ancient times, preserving their thousand-year radiance in treasures like the Shosoin collection and the mother-of-pearl inlay of Chuson-ji's Konjikido, and are traditionally believed to ward off evil. To ensure you can enjoy this piece for a long time, I have finished it without using any adhesives that might cause yellowing or peeling over time. The metal setting is tightened just enough not to scratch the Turbo shell, and it's secured with stainless steel wire threaded through a pearl to prevent it from rattling within the frame. The pearl is a Swarovski crystal in a pearlescent white, chosen to complement and enhance the shell's colors.
