It's exceptionally light, airy, and durable. While nylon is a common material for safari hats, one made from organic cotton poplin is rare, offering a uniquely pleasant feel and texture. The deep charcoal grey hue is achieved using dyes extracted from Sakaki (Japanese Holly) through a technique called botanical dyeing. Its classic, muted shade makes it easy to coordinate with various outfits. The inner lining is a thin, soft organic cotton woven fabric, ensuring comfort even on warmer days and allowing for easy handwashing at home. The design ensures that all parts touching your head, including the crown and forehead area, are made from organic cotton.
