KIEV-4AM RANGEFINDER CAMERA'S BODY
ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!)
Cameras "KIEV" have been produced since 1947 at Arsenal plant (the city of Kiev, Soviet Union). It was just a copies of Zeiss Contax cameras. High reliability, excellent optics, capability to shoot at low temperature (it can work in a Russian froze!), presence of exchangeable lens - these are the conditions defined the usage of these cameras for pro-shooting during more than 40 years. The cameras with index "M" is slightly improved in comparison with old models: the head of shutter speeds is more pretty in using , "hot shoe" according with usual PC flash connecting, film rewind head with a handle (crank), the lens with better resolution than old Jupiter-8M 2.0:50mm, but first time cameras completed by both type of the lens.
ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+, TESTED
The camera works correctly.
The shutter and self-timer are working fine.
The RF/VF is clear and sharp.
I loaded the film to test film transport, it also worked properly.
The camera is in nice condition cosmetically... just examine item's photos please.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

* Film type: usual 135 type film cassettes are applicable.
* Complex slit shutter off profiled metallic stripes.
* Shutter speeds: B, 1/2-1/1250 sec., synchronization with flash at 1/25 and more long shutter speeds. The camera has both cable connection PC "synchro" socket and "hot shoe".
NOTE: If You'll use a flash unit with high voltage synch cable or a "shoe" please be careful, that non-used contact at the camera will have a high voltage (150-250 volt win low total power)... it will not very nice for your fingers, even will not really dangerous. Thus don't remove plastic cover from "hot shoe" if you'll apply a flash unit with cable connection.
* Lens mount: Contax type internal (for standard focus lenses) and external (for other lenses, like 35mm, 135mm or 85mm) bayonet.
* Filter mount M 40.5 x 0.75 mm.
* Tripod socket 1/4".
* Self timer is presented.
* The camera is a very nice in using and highly collectible.
* The camera was made at Arsenal plant at Kiev city in 1982.
