▍**Course Introduction**
This is a wood carving experience class designed for beginners. It teaches you the knife holding skills, carving angles, and knife rhythm step by step, taking you into the world of wood carving art. You will carve your own ornaments by hand - whether it is an animal, a totem, or a personal style symbol, you can freely imagine it.
After the work is carved, we will use a soldering pen to depict the details and draw lines and textures on the wood to make the work more layered. Finally, it will be combined with key ring parts to become a unique "**wind chime key set**". As you move in your daily life, it will make a slight sound, recording the time you spend with the wood.
This is not just a handmade work, but also an artistic journey of sound and memory.

▍**Instructor introduction**
HUANG-JING XUAN
Born in Taipei in 1989, he is currently a lecturer and manager of the**Forest Carving Research. Woodcarving Learning Classroom**. Since graduating with a master's degree in 2016, he has continued to create woodcarving works as his career. His style is delicate and unique. His works are often seen in major exhibitions and art fairs. He has also been involved in woodcarving residencies, teaching and curatorial activities for a long time.

**Notes**
The course fee includes all materials and tools, so you don’t need to bring any extra materials.
It is recommended to wear light, soilable clothing, and aprons are available for loan on site.
Suitable age: 16 years and above
The course includes the operation of "**electric soldering pen**", please follow the instructions for safety.
The class location is by appointment only. After successful registration, detailed transportation information will be provided one week before the class.
The class will take side-view photos and records. If you do not want to be photographed, you can inform us on the spot and we will handle it.
This course is a creative experience. Please respect each other's creations and quiet space. Accompanied participation is not allowed.

Refund Instructions:
1. If the organizer fails to start the class on the actual class date for some reason, the full amount of fees paid will be refunded.
2. If a student is unable to attend the class due to personal reasons after completing the registration and payment, the refund will be made according to the following standards:
(1) For applicants who submit a refund application between the 30th and 8th day before the course starts, half of the registration fee paid will be refunded.
(ii) No refund will be given if the refund is made 7 days before the course starts.
3. Refund application will be calculated based on the actual class date of the course.
4. It takes about four weeks for our studio to process the refund for students.
▍Major disasters: If our camp encounters force majeure factors such as wind disasters, earthquakes or major disasters, the New Taipei City Government will announce whether classes will be held as usual. If classes are suspended, make-up classes will be arranged according to the nature of the course. If make-up classes are not possible for some reason, the course fee for that day will be refunded.
