KMZ ZENIT-12sd 35mm film SLR camera BODY with Pentax M42 lens mount USSR 1987 - Cameras - Other Materials

Product Description

KMZ plant, 1987 ZENIT-12sd CAMERA's BODY with M42 LENS MOUNT ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) ZENIT-12SD have more advanced TTL light metering and indication than very popular ZENIT-TTL camera, and viewfinder is not so dark, like it had ZENIT-TTL camera. Interesting thing, that first ZENIT-12 cameras (without SD or XP index) were just old ZENIT-TTL camera for export and for specially dedicated issues. ZENIT-12SD model produced at KMZ plant at Krasnogorsk town since 1983 for export. I like it more than last ZENIT-122 cameras because it have bronze top and bottom plates and more metal parts inside... in common it makes the camera more reliable. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+ The camera is clean and attractive, it looks that the camera was very accurately used before. Shutter works fine, self-timer also works. Tested with the battery, TTL metering is in working condition, even I never can be sure that such Soviet devices are very accurate. Viewfinder is clean, no vertical line or pieces of dust are visible. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Frame size: 24x36mm * Film type: usual 135 type film cassettes are applicable. * Curtain shutter (Leica type). * Shutter speeds - B, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 sec. The shutter allows receiving long shutter speed known as "T", just press the shutter release button at installed "B" and then turn the shutter release button to index "T" direction. * Synchronization with flash at 1/30 sec. * Flash connection: usual PC socket and "hot shoe". NOTE: If You'll use a flash unit with high voltage synch cable or a "shoe" please be careful, that non-used contact at the camera will have a high voltage (150-250 volt win low total power)... it will not very nice for your fingers, even will not really dangerous. Thus don't remove plastic cover from "hot shoe" if you'll apply a flash unit with cable connection. * Lens mount M42 (known also as Pentax Screw Mount), same with huge quantity of lenses for old Practica, Pentax, Yashica, Cosina and other cameras with optical registration 45.5mm. * Built-in TTL exposure meter in working condition, it is based at semiconductor scheme with 2-LED indication. Indication shows over- and underexposition, when both LED's are blinking, exposition is correct. The light metering turn on when You half-depress the shutter release button, and the aperture close before pre-installed meaning. TTL light metering works with any kind of M42 lenses and with different macro devices. * The exposure meter require 2.4-3V power source. This camera use modern (A)G-12, LR43 and 386 button cells (2 pieces). * Film speeds are from 16 up to 500 ASA. * Self-timer is presented. * Frame around the eyepiece allows to mount correction lenses or eye cups. * The body has very useful straplet attachment points. * Tripod mount 1/4 inch. * The camera was produced in USSR at KMZ plant at the town of Krasnogorsk in 1987.
