A frying pan made by blacksmith Yasushi Kaneko.
This page is for sale of 3L size body + lid. You cannot purchase the main unit only.
All items are hand-molded one by one, and the main body and lid are produced while matching them, so "main body only" and "main body + lid" are managed as separate inventories.
Due to the manufacturing method, the edges of both the main body and the lid are not flat, but have some unevenness. Therefore, mass-produced lids do not fit perfectly. For cooking that traps heat well, please choose the main body + lid set. The material of the lid is the same as the body, but the thickness is different.
Iron, a popular material in PINT, has been added to the frying pan and pot series. Iron can be divided into ``Casting'', which is made by pouring iron into a mold, such as an iron kettle, and ``Forging,'' where it is hammered into shape. In forging, we have introduced a series of forging knives and iron chopstick rests. This is a frying pan made by Mr. Kaneko, a blacksmith who makes iron chopstick rests.
Kaneko's frying pan is characterized by its thinness. A single iron plate is heated to a high temperature and then hammered to create a three-dimensional shape while creating edges and height. The handle is also made of the same piece of iron plate, so the handle is not a separate part, it is all integrated. Therefore, it is literally comfortable to use with a sense of unity. It is difficult to make this shape by squeezing it out, but there is strength only in one simple material. Also, because it is made thin, it is not as heavy as it looks.
The material is "iron" itself. It has good heat conduction, and heat is evenly transferred to meat and vegetables in a short time. The simplest and easiest to imagine is the deliciousness of simple teppanyaki at festival stalls and outdoors. Meat grilled on a high-temperature iron plate, vegetables, yakisoba, etc. are delicious. It is also recommended for dishes that simply make the most of the taste of the ingredients.
The shape of this frying pan is slightly deeper, so it can be used for frying as well as various frying pans. It can also be used with IH.
I'm sure many of you are worried about handling and care, so here are some important points.
"About the handle"
The handle is also made of iron, so it gets hot when used at high temperatures. Please use it by wrapping it in a cloth. As an example of my personal use, if the heat is low, you may be able to hold it without a cloth, but please be careful not to burn yourself when using it.
"It looks like it's going to burn"
The point here is to heat the frying pan well first, then add the oil and then add the ingredients. It is important to get the heat right the first time. Since heat conduction is high, it is necessary to reduce the heat and adjust it during cooking. It requires a different way of handling than a Teflon-coated frying pan, so I hope you can get used to it while using it.
"Cleaning after use"
Since it is oil-baked when it is made, it is ready to use as soon as you receive it. Because of this oil-baked finish, it becomes a coating film and protects the iron.
It is recommended that you do not use detergent and wash with a brush or a brush. The oil used for cooking remains, and it becomes a coating film. This way you don't need to apply oil after washing. There is no surface treatment, so you can scrub it and wash it strongly.
If you are concerned about odors, it is okay to use detergent.
"After washing"
Although there is a coating of oil, it is safe to remove the water as soon as possible because it is iron. Of course, there is no problem if you wipe it with a cloth, but it is faster and more reliable to heat it on the stove.
If you use detergent when washing, the oil will also be removed, so it is safer to use a scrap of cloth to soak in the oil. (If you don't use detergent, you don't need it.)
Like iron kettles, once you start dating, it's not that special, so I'd be happy if you could try it without being overwhelmed. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any concerns about handling.
If you pay attention to this point, the tool can be used for a really long time. I would be happy if you could grow it into your own and enjoy using it.

Iron oil-baked finish
It has an oil-baked finish so that it can be used immediately. For this reason, there may be color unevenness on the surface due to oil content, but there is no problem.
