White Engobe Vase Pottery

Semi-porcelain clay / Engobe / Ash glaze size: Ø4.5 w10 h16.5 cm Engobe formulated with Miaoli clay, and ash glaze made from the ashes of plants grown on the same land, after being gathered and fired. The engobe is applied using brushes made from bound dried grass, or by hand. The maker enjoys creating pieces that retain the texture and color of the clay, with visible handmade lines and a distinctive atmosphere, preserving a pure strength. As the pottery is handcrafted, the actual color and dimensions are subject to the finished product. Any glaze crawling, running, or crackling are unique expressions of the piece.
