|Production organization: Linen Works|
It was established in 1973 to help women who lost their fathers and husbands during the Bangladesh War of Independence and were forced to live on welfare benefits to achieve economic independence through manual work. Our first activity was a training program for two Catholic sisters to make things from Linen(Linen). For more than 40 years, we have worked to improve the social and economic conditions of poor women.
It was established not only to provide rural women, who had hitherto been neglected, with work they could do at home and encourage them to participate in society, but also to support them so that they could live a stable life with their families. family.
They provide a source of income by producing products using locally available natural resources such as Linen, grass, rattan, bamboo and clay. Currently, we produce a variety of products at 23 production sites in Japan and export them to Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
In addition to capacity building (strengthening organizational foundations) and awareness reform training, we provide a wide range of support from education, health, hygiene to income generation support
