insectum / Carabinae / kimekomi doll - Items for Display - Copper & Brass

Product Description

This is an insect-modeled kimekomi doll figurine "insectum". Approximately 1.75 million species of insects inhabit the world, and they entertain our eyes with their unique shapes and various colors, which are said to be the basis of design. It is a work that tried to express its beauty with kimekomi doll. We created a fusion of traditional kimekomi doll technology and new 3D printer technology in order to make the most of traditional Japanese fabrics and bring them closer to the fascinating world. The lower part of the torso and the legs are made by casting brass based on the prototype output by the 3D printer, and the upper part of the torso is finished by directly processing the resin output by the 3D printer. The model ground beetle is an insect that has many beautifully colored seeds and is often the target of collection. The paulownia case, which is modeled after the specimen box (German box), is fixed to the main body and the magnet embedded in the box, and can be displayed upright like an insect specimen. (Designer Kohei Cyubachi) Size: W 7 cm, 6.5 cm, H 2.5 cm Material: Brass, ABS resin, silk, resin, steel wire, neodymium magnet This doll is a doll made using the same technique as the Edo Kimekomi doll. (It is not a product certified as a traditional craft.) [Edo Kimekomi Doll] Japanese traditional crafts with a history of over 100 years.
