Shimenawa Bangle – Regular　With Torii Display Stand

Concept At Shimogamo Shrine, the artist once created and exhibited a 3-meter sculpture inspired by the arm of Susanoo. In that work, a real shimenawa rope was wrapped around the wrist, with paper shide streamers hanging down. This accessory was born from the desire to “recreate that sculpture on one’s own arm.” "A god dwells within my arm." "A god resides in the things my hands create." With this pride and prayer, the design was brought to life. Features & Design The "Futsu" model has been updated as the 2026 version. By carving out the natural rope texture of the shimenawa, it achieves a more organic and three-dimensional rope expression compared to the previous model. The shide has been enlarged by about 10%, enhancing its presence and solemnity. An engraved artist’s signature has been added on the back, increasing its value as an art piece. With a rope diameter of 5mm, it is not too thick, making it comfortable for everyday wear and perfectly balanced for layering with other shimenawa bangles.
