Walking Map Postcard - TAIPEI

Taipei City is located in the northeastern part of the Taipei Basin, serving as the central city of the Taipei metropolitan area and Northern Taiwan. Despite its bustling commercial nature, it is embraced by beautiful mountains. To the side of Xinyi District lie the Four Beasts Mountains, connecting to Songshan and Nangang Districts. Jiantan Mountain, adjacent to the Grand Hotel, links to Wuzhi Mountain in Xizhi. To the north of Taipei City are the Tatun Volcano Group and Qixing Mountain, the highest peak in Taipei. These foothills surrounding the metropolitan area provide habitats for diverse flora and fauna, and offer an ideal setting for urban dwellers to engage in recreational activities and find relaxation.
