During our travels, we unexpectedly met the owners of the Italian stationery brand Rubinato s.r.l and the handcrafted leather notebook maker Manufactus, who were exhibiting at the time. This encounter led to a friendship and a partnership that continues to this day. Rubinato s.r.l offers more than just ordinary stationery; their ink dipping pens and other unique items are infused with their artistic passion, resulting in a range of products that blend innovative design with classical aesthetics. Manufactus, on the other hand, produces handcrafted plant-dyed leather notebooks. The covers are dyed using natural herbal pigments, and because the colors are mixed by hand, each cover is truly unique. The cotton paper is handmade following ancient methods in the centuries-old historic town of Amalfi, a type of deckle-edged paper exceptionally suited for writing and drawing. Manufactus products have been showcased at international exhibitions in Paris, New York, and Frankfurt, symbolizing the revival and re-emergence of the classic handcrafted journal series.
