"A Nostalgic Study Companion."
Taiwan's earliest educational history can be traced back to the 1630s during the Dutch colonial period with the establishment of the Sinkan Native School. Later, during the Zheng dynasty in 1666, the first official school, the Confucius Temple, was built in Tainan, earning it the esteemed name "The First Academy of Taiwan." The Western-style education system we know today was only introduced to Taiwan during the Japanese colonial era. Many of us recall completing homework at the dinner table, and having our own desk was a point of pride. The modular "duck head" desk lamp also holds a special place in the memories of many born in the 1980s, accompanying us through simple and beautiful childhood days.
