[What is botanical dye?]
This is a dyeing technique that extracts dyes from flower lover, leaves, roots, stems, trees, bark, fruits, etc., and then evenly absorbs a protein-based paste between the fibers and the natural dye into the fabric. After that, a small amount of chemical dye is added to increase fastness (suppresses discoloration due to light, sweat, and washing in water, and supports the instability of the pigment) without the use of a mordant, allowing the beautiful natural colors to be expressed in the fabric.
Natural dyes are not made up of one single ingredient like chemical dyes.
A single color contains many different pigments, and the weak and strong pigments are scattered, making the color appear gentle to our eyes.
We hope you enjoy the vivid yet deep and gentle colors of the botanical dyes.
Botanical dyes are less polluting and consume less water during dyeing.
This is an eco-friendly dyeing method that is kind to both the earth and people.
