Worn On The Shoulders (Collection)
- Atayal Traditional Bow Weaving Shoulder Strap
Traditionally, the shoulder straps used by the Atayal people were mostly woven from ramie threads, created by the men of the household for themselves or the women in the family. The straps used by women were primarily for the headbands of their back baskets and to secure the weaving beam to their waists during weaving, coordinated with leg movements to support the warp threads, ensuring smooth weaving. The straps used by men were mostly shoulder-style, attached to men's back baskets and mesh bags, essential for general work and hunting. Another use was to tie them onto the sheath of a hunting knife and fasten them to the waist for easy carrying.
Today, it can be transformed into a versatile bohemian-style crossbody strap, camera strap, guitar strap, or headband, becoming the most unique and functional strap with load-bearing capabilities...
Mixed Patterns
Mixed patterns can create a combination of mountain and diamond shapes, or any motif you can imagine, encouraging creativity.
