It is formed from bleached coral that has undergone ossification through calcium carbonate infiltration within coral reefs. Over hundreds of millions of years, geological shifts, geothermal heat, and immense pressure transform it into a fossilized jade, celebrated as an "organic gemstone." Coral Jade is the only gemstone that retains its "life," with each finished piece boasting unique, unrepeatable colors and patterns. Regarded as one of the three major organic gemstones in the West alongside pearls and amber, coral jade is also listed among the Seven Treasures in Eastern Buddhist scriptures.
