The ability to easily pair them with my existing pants, scarves, and hats became important. I wanted pieces that could gracefully conceal the marks of time on my arms, waist, and hips, a gentle reminder of gravity and the joys of raising children. Slowly, I discovered the styles that truly fit me. This half-sleeve dress with pockets has become a recent favorite. I made one for myself in a linen indigo hue. It features delicate bias binding on the inside and a refined slit detail on the sleeves. The three-quarter sleeve length enhances the slenderness of the arm, making it more convenient and efficient for me, as I often roll up my sleeves while doing chores or working. It retains the signature side pocket design, perfect for holding a handkerchief, tissues, cash, or coins with ease. Unlike previous longer tops that reached my thighs, this dress is designed to be about 95cm long, falling to the knees. It's perfect for wearing on its own or layering with slim-fit or wide-leg pants. Wear it alone in spring and summer.
