Residing in Taiwan, they work from a charming old apartment in Taipei, devoted to the art of stamp making. Previously an editor for magazine and book publishers, they now focus exclusively on stamp design. Each season, they release handmade original creations, with eight published collections featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their published works include "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Next Stamp Classes for Beginners." Primarily using erasers as their carving medium, each stamp is painstakingly brought to life, one stroke at a time. Chamilgarden's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday discoveries, scenic moments from travels, and cherished interests (including text, flora, geometry, nature, architecture, and more). They achieve their distinctive style by deconstructing and combining elements, employing multi-layered lines, and incorporating minimalist primary and secondary lines, along with foreign text and everyday symbols, to compose the stamp imagery. They enjoy pairing stamps with colors, orchestrating unique interactions and collaborations between stamps of varying sizes, and exploring repetition. Many of their graphic designs are derived from fragments of their stamps, extended through creative application (such as postcards and washi tape).
