A four-strand bracelet featuring antique orange seed beads and red gold white hearts.
The orange beads are old Indian seed beads, lustrous and as beautiful and flavorful as tiny fruits (circa 19th-20th century).
Their subtle color variations add to their charm. These beads were once used as personal adornments like necklaces.
They are in excellent condition!
(Bead size: 2-2.5mm)
The subdued red beads are antique beads known as White Hearts, named for their white core. These are Venetian beads from the 19th-20th century. The deep red color is achieved by using gold to create the vibrant hue, making them rare "red gold" White Hearts.
For the clasp, we've used a disc-shaped Kingman turquoise.
(Turquoise size: 1.2cm diameter)
The golden beads are old Orissa brass, rare and ancient beads sourced from the state of Orissa, India.
Each tiny Karen silver bead on the clasp is individually stamped!
It's humbling to imagine the meticulous handcraftsmanship involved...
◇Karen Silver◇
This silver is crafted by a mountain ethnic group living in Thailand and Burma.
Each piece is handmade and said to have very high purity.
Connected with waxed cord, the bracelet will feel slightly stiff at first but will become supple with wear.
