Jiu Ru Shang Hao, a time-honored Jiangzhe dim sum establishment at the Ren'ai Circle! Founded in 1960, this over-a-decade-old shop is a name many long-time Taipei residents recall when thinking of Jiangzhe dim sum. From Huzhou zongzi, Ningbo sweet dumplings, and pork and vegetable wontons to fermented glutinous rice, they meticulously prepare traditional hometown flavors. During Winter Solstice, Lantern Festival, and Dragon Boat Festival, the shop bustles with activity. People queue up for sweet dumplings during Lantern and Winter Solstice festivals, choosing from flavors like red date paste, peanut, sesame, fresh meat, and fermented glutinous rice. Each has its own appeal. The wrappers are fine and soft, while the fillings are fragrant with sesame, never oily, and sweet without being cloying—remarkably balanced, truly balanced.

《About Jiu Ru Shang Hao》
Founder Wu Chuan-sheng and his wife, Cheng Li-chen, opened their first shop in 1960 next to the Star Cinema on Heping West Road. The current main store is located at No. 69, Section 4, Ren'ai Road, Taipei City (next to the Dunhua South Road Circle). With their commitment to quality ingredients and meticulous handwork, they have forged a renowned reputation in Taiwan's culinary scene. Cheng Li-chen (Grandma Wu) shared that the name "Jiu Ru" was chosen to signify "long-lasting prosperity." Over the past 40-plus years, Jiu Ru Shang Hao has been passed down through three generations, now flourishing in its prime. In addition to beloved classics like Ningbo rice cakes, fermented glutinous rice dumplings, Huzhou zongzi, and wontons that evoke nostalgia for older generations, the new Jiu Ru also offers exquisite Jiangzhe and Shanghai cuisine. Through the passage of time, the Wu family's dedication to flavor remains unwavering, inviting you to savor tradition and taste modernity.
Serving Suggestions:
a. Jiu Ru sweet dumplings are made with water-milled flour. Please allow them to thaw and soften before cooking.
b. Once the water boils, add the sweet dumplings and reduce to low heat. Cook until the dumplings float to the surface and their wrappers appear slightly puffed, then remove and enjoy.
