Inspired by traditional red-and-white plastic bags, with inward folds on both sides that expand to create additional storage space. Material and Texture Unlike typical heavy canvas with a stiff texture, this bag features a subtle sheen, adding a touch of elegance. When carried on the wrist, it exudes a relaxed and effortless charm. The bag’s shape changes dynamically based on its contents, offering versatility and even functioning as a lunch bag. Pattern Inspiration The minimalist fabric patterns are inspired by urban landscapes in Taiwan, drawing attention to often-overlooked scenes like the alignment of corrugated metal sheets or rain-eroded corners of walls. The fabric is crafted from exclusive, limited-edition designer materials. Variations in the cut create unique color and pattern combinations, enhancing the individuality and value of each piece. The Story Behind the "Urban Renewal" Pattern I’ve spent many years in Dihua Street, and certain vanishing landscapes linger vividly in my memory—like the original food court on the fourth floor of Yongle Market, now only visible in the movie Lucy. Even as newly constructed Western-style buildings emerge, acrylic signs sprout, and older structures are torn down and redeveloped. Dihua Street is a concrete world cloaked in red bricks. What we perceive as traditional has long been concealed beneath layers of cement, leaving no visible traces. Every element in this fabric design symbolizes my experiences here. The cross-shaped structures resemble both maps and the demolished buildings replaced by steel frameworks during redevelopment. This transformation is constant—single-story homes are displaced, and the once-open view of Guanyin Mountain is gradually obstructed by towering grid-like steel structures. The city is in perpetual flux. The checkerboard pattern evokes a map as well. Even after years of wandering through Yongle Market, I still find myself getting lost, unable to locate an exit. Care Instructions All fabrics have been pre-shrunk and treated for colorfastness, making them safe for washing. For localized stains, use a mild detergent and gently scrub the affected area to prolong the product’s lifespan. Do not use bleach.
